Building Lifelong Foundations Together

OUR CURRICULUM AT THE LEARNING ACADEMY PARTNERSHIP

Our Intent

Our children will blossom through experiencing a knowledge-rich curriculum which is both broad and balanced and fosters a love of learning, enabling all children to make connections.

We have chosen to follow the National Curriculum and the breadth of our curriculum ensures that there are no limits to learning and our pupils are encouraged to embrace every learning opportunity that is presented to them.

Our curriculum is the beating heart of our academies and is rooted in John 10:10

"I came that they might have life and live it to the full."

Our children will flourish through experiencing a knowledge-rich curriculum which is both broad and balanced and fosters a love of learning, enabling all children to make connections and be well prepared for the next stage of their education.

Our School's Curriculum

All Saints Marsh curriculum intent is intrinsically linked to our vision statement; ‘Building Lifelong Foundations Together’. Our Christian vision will underpin the daily curriculum and experience that our pupils are provided with. Our vision provides our children with a happy, loving and nurturing environment where all have the confidence to fulfil their hopes and aspirations. Our inspiring, enriched curriculum promotes a thirst for knowledge and develops wisdom.

Our children will flourish through experiencing a knowledge-rich curriculum which is both broad and balanced and fosters a love of learning, enabling all children to make connections and be well prepared for the next stage of their education.

This curriculum intent is the driver in the curriculum delivery and success of All Saints Marsh. We will implement this intent that whilst knowledge and skills led, recognises the richness, as well as challenges, within the local area and one that is tailored to meet the distinctiveness of the community that it serves.

At All Saints Marsh our families live in a historic town. It is important to us that our children are able to explore and understand how this unique history shaped the community and area they live in. All Saints Marsh’s unique history and that of the local area will form the foundations of our curriculum, building on the history and geography of the school building, Newton Abbot’s many historic buildings and places of history and utilising local links with the Marshes and Nature reserves.

We want to work to ensure that our curriculum enables our children to build on their firm foundations that we provide at All Saints Marsh to enable them to look outwards and to realise what is possible – both nationally and globally – and to provide them with life chances and opportunities; helping to drive the aspirations and high expectations of our pupils and inspiring our pupils to understand how them themselves can contribute to society in the future and add cultural capital to our communities.
