Mrs Edwards, Head of Academy at All Saints Marsh, said:
After what has felt like a never ending winter and lockdown it is wonderful to see our children out in the sunshine and being active and having fun with their friends! Many of our girls were anxious about joining in at first but by the end they had beaming smiles and were so proud of themselves. We thank Ann-Marie for giving the girls the opportunity to take part in some fun and active cricket activities and games, this has shown them that cricket is an accessible sport for them and also gives them the confidence to try out new sports and interests. Across our family of schools we strive to give our children broad curriculum experiences that enable our children to flourish and experience things beyond their day to day experiences. Physical development, well-being and mental health are key elements that support the development of the whole child and promote a positive attitude to learning.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed the activities….
‘It was really good fun because we played a lot of different games and I even hit the ball on my second go!’
‘It was so much fun and really relaxing, as a Team Captain, I was able to help others’.
