Pupils from All Saints Marsh, C of E Academy, part of the Learning Academy Trust had a wonderfully festive week starting with an exclusive visit to Scott Cinemas to watch Arthur Christmas. The event was kindly organised and paid for by our PTFA who treated the children to popcorn and drinks. The children thoroughly enjoyed the film and there were plenty of giggles and smiles throughout.
Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in the lantern parade workshop with Creation Puppets, organised by Newton Abbot Town Council and funded by the PTFA. The children enjoyed getting creative and making their bee puppets from scratch and look forward to taking part in the lantern parade on 13th December.
The children were treated to a delightful Christmas dinner where the whole school community got together and enjoyed sharing this special time with each other. The children were served by the Teaching staff and it was a wonderful atmosphere celebrated with crackers and our Christmas jumpers!
The main event was the PTFA Christmas fayre, which was wonderfully supported by over 50 local businesses donating prizes, experiences and gifts to the raffle. Our small school with a BIG great raised over £470! All money raised will provide the children at All Saints Marsh with extra curricular treats and activities. A HUGE thank you to our wonderful PTFA and friends and families who helped to organise and support such an exciting event. Santa managed to take a break from his busy schedule and attend along with his special helper ‘Midge’ from the Friends of Dartmoor Pony Charity. The children were so excited to visit Santa and Midge and each received a gift.

We are all feeling incredibly festive now at All Saints Marsh and the children can’t quite believe that we had a real pony in our school!”
