Our Year 3’s visited Dartington Hall to work with musician, Jason Singh sound artist, nature beatboxer, producer, DJ, facilitator and performer. Jason has even worked on the soundtrack to Sir David Attenborough’s Green Planet advert https://youtu.be/hlF0vOCUMrE and specialises in music and nature!
The children explored the human voice through Beatboxing, Indian vocal percussion, and nature soundscapes; a three pronged approach to music, cross cultural learning and connections to nature. The overarching aim of the project is to give all the children and teachers a set of skills and aural vocabulary for creating soundscapes and music that they will be able to use in this project and the future.
The children had a great time and are looking forward to Jason visiting us at All Saints Marsh
