We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the School Games Silver Mark Award this year.
The School Games Mark is a government led award scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
Our sporting achievements throughout the year include: football and netball leagues; various gymnastics, hockey and football festivals; cyclocross, rounders, athletics and cross country competitions. The children have also had the opportunity to take part in sporting activities with external coaches and at events at Coombeshead Academy and Newton Abbot College
Some children in Key Stage 2 participated in Gifted and Talented out of school clubs, whilst some Year 5s had training to be effective Playground Leaders. This extra training and support was also extended to the academy staff and includes SEND training for PE support.
Courtney, Year 6, said: “The PE lessons at All Saints Marsh are fun and you have lots of choices and chances to try out all different types of sport.”
